Who cares your thoughts about? Do you know how to code? Have you already submitted to the form to check if you still can talk about computing? I am from the opinion that, to have thoughts about, need to prove it in the battleground, otherwise stay quite, go look another things to do.
Once in a time, i have programmed, but now 'i write about it', i know the 'difficult and all things' but looking as an analyst is easier, and look, i can get costumers for competitors, because since i don't program anymore, i will go to 'tech journalism' looking if i can get easy money. Then i navigate asking from charity of open source to 'write about it'.
